Acme Deploy: 13% → 34% AI share of model in 3 months

A CI/CD tool that almost never showed up when engineers asked AI for the best option — until we measured the gap and fixed it.

Illustrative example. "Acme Deploy" is a representative scenario showing the kind of result and reporting Clear Cited delivers — not a real named client. Real founding-client case studies will replace it, with written permission.

Gains across ChatGPT, Perplexity & Google AI

The problem

When engineers asked ChatGPT and Perplexity "best CI/CD for a small team" or "CircleCI alternatives," Acme Deploy was named in only ~13% of answers — competitors owned the rest. Acme had no way to even measure it.

What we did

A full audit across five engines (10+ runs per prompt) found three fixable gaps: search bots partially blocked in robots.txt, no Organization/Product schema, and zero presence in the Reddit threads + comparison listicles the AI pulled from. We shipped the technical fixes, added answer-first comparison pages, and ran a citation-placement plan.

The result

Over three monthly cycles, Acme's share of model climbed 13% → 19% → 27% → 34%, with the biggest gains on Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. Monitoring keeps it there as the engines shift.

Example of the feedback this kind of engagement is built to earn: "Clear, reproducible, and the fixes actually moved our ChatGPT mentions. Share of model up every month."
